How to Play Tingyun

Tingyun guide: how to play, rotations, best teams, relics, and investment priority for this Lightning Harmony Support.

Last updated:

Overview

Tingyun's Skill transfers a portion of her ATK to an ally and grants Energy Regen. The buffed ally deals significantly more damage. Tingyun's ATK must be higher than the buffed ally's base ATK for maximum transfer.

How to Play

Use Skill on your Main DPS at the start of each rotation. Build as much ATK% on Tingyun as possible — ignore CRIT and DMG stats. Use Ultimate for additional damage when Energy allows. Tingyun buffs then swaps off-field.

Optimal Rotation

Tingyun Skill on Main DPS → swap to Main DPS → DPS burst window with ATK buff → swap back to Tingyun to refresh buff when it expires. One Skill buff lasts 3 turns — refresh before it drops.

Strengths

Best 4★ support in the game. Enables any Main DPS. Energy Regen helps Energy-hungry characters. Easy to build — just stack ATK%.

Weaknesses

Outclassed by Sparkle and Bronya in endgame. Single-target buff only. ATK transfer cap limits buff value for high-ATK 5★ DPS.

Investment Priority

Level to 80 and max Skill. Stack ATK% on all gear. Carve the Moon S5 is ideal. E6 is worth pursuing from standard banner. Replace with Sparkle or Robin for endgame optimization.
